Overview
The 15th Biennial Meeting of the Diabetes in Pregnancy Study Group of North America (DPSG-NA) is a three-day symposium featuring didactic lectures, debates and interactive panel discussions, with audience-driven participation and question/answer sessions.

The meeting also will include a poster session of basic, preclinical, and clinical biomedical research in topic areas selected by a DPSG-NA review committee. Internationally- and nationally-recognized experts will underscore the state-of- the-art new relevant information in areas including obesity, metabolic syndrome, hypertension and diabetes. Specific areas that will be presented during the meeting will focus on new insights into the science of diabetes; glucose management; diabetes prevention; genetic underpinnings of diabetes and obesity; preconception care, nutrition, exercise, weight gain and obesity; pharmacokinetic considerations; diagnosis and consequences of diabetic fetopathy.

This conference is intended for obstetricians, gynecologists, geneticists, endocrinologists, nurses, midwives, residents, fellows, family practitioners, internists, students and healthcare professionals with a special interest in the treatment of the pregnant diabetic patient.

The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
